Carmelo Romeo was born in Messina on October 15th, 1985. He received his Degree in Computer Engineering from Engineering Faculty of the University of Messina (Italy) in 2012, with the final score 110/110. The title of his thesis was "Implementation and validation of algorithms for the Power Management in a Datacenter Cloud".

He was involved from November 2012 to October 2013 in the FP7 EU project "VISION Cloud" which was awarded at IBC 2013 in Amsterdam.

In 2013 he received the 2nd (level) University Master degree in "Open Source and Computer Science Security".

Since November 2013 he is working on the FP7 EU project "CloudWave".
