This activity regards the application of Radio Frequency IDentification technology. A joint effort with Oracle and Intel has been initiated which led to the formation of a University spin-off, INQUADRO srl (www.inquadro.com). The aim is to develop:

Solutions for document management. The commercial software WhereDoc has been developed which allows tracking paper documents movement inside an office.
Asset management. The commercial software WhereObj has been developed which allows identifying objects and their movements indoor and outdoor;
Virtual guide for museums. The commercial software WhereArt has been developed to create a virtual guide for museums.

All the previous software packages are developed on top of the WhereX middleware, empowered by INQUADRO, which allows easily accessing a plethora of RFID technologies, such active and passive tags, sensor networks, WiFi localization, GPS.
